Iowa State University will soon offer a new program that applies a national research-based training model to help couples have healthy relationships. The curriculum, called Elevate, is designed for professionals who are counseling couples in all types of relationships. Iowa State’s Human Sciences Extension and Outreach will offer the program, which is based on the national Healthy Relationship and Marriage Education Training model, on a pilot basis beginning this fall. “We basically created the training program from scratch,” said Anthony Santiago, a marital and family therapist and a specialist with Human Sciences Extension and Outreach.
