Tile-setting was to resume late last week at the Paragon Prairie Tower being constructed by R&R Realty Group at Paragon Park in Urbandale. Work had stopped temporarily while arrangements were made to begin applying grout between the mosaic tiles already in place on the bottom half of the silo-shaped concrete structure.

David Dahlquist of RDG Dahlquist Art Studios said he expects all of the Italian-made tiles to be in place by the end of the month. The mosaic will depict prairie grasses and flowers native to Iowa.

Work continues on the plaza surrounding the tower, with landscaping yet to come. Tom Rupprecht, R&R’s vice president of marketing and development, said the entire project is scheduled for completion in September.

The 10-story tower marks the Meredith Drive entrance to the 280-acre office park.
