Jackson Pollock piece now on display at Des Moines Arts Center
American artist Jackson Pollock’s “Mural” is now on display at the Des Moines Arts Center. The piece is on loan from the University of Iowa Museum of Art and will be on display until July 15.
Art dealer and patron Peggy Guggenheim gave “Mural” to the University of Iowa in 1951, in part as a response to the art department’s work and accomplishments.
The museum is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.; and closed on Monday.
