Justices to hear Becker appeal at Drake
The Iowa Supreme Court will conduct oral arguments in Sheslow Auditorium on the campus of Drake University on March 29 starting at 9 a.m. The justices will hear two cases: State of Iowa v. Mark Daryl Becker, in which Becker is appealing his conviction of first-degree murder; and a medical malpractice case, Estate of Erika L. Herren Anderson and Todd Herren v. Iowa Dermatology Clinic PLC, Charles W. Love, and Iowa Pathology Associates P.C., related to claims from the 2009 death of Erika Anderson from skin cancer. The oral arguments are part of Drake University Law School’s Supreme Court Celebration. This annual event is designed to help law students become more familiar with appellate court procedure and arguments.
