$4.5 million | Perry

JBS Prepared Foods Inc. paid Carl Stukenholtz $4.5 million for 88.7 acres of farmland in Perry on which the food manufacturer plans on building a sausage facility. The land is east of L Avenue and less than one mile south of Iowa Highway 141. The transaction occurred Sept. 5. 

$3.6 million | Madrid

DF Farms LLC, based in Madrid, paid Absolute Farms LLC just over $3.6 million for nearly 150 acres of farmland in north central Polk County, south of Madrid. The transaction occurred Feb. 19.

$3.3 million | West Des Moines

Hope Development & Realty LLC, located in West Des Moines, paid High Point Group LLC $3.3 million for nearly 20 acres of farmland located west of South 81st Street at Stagecoach Drive in West Des Moines. The transaction occurred Nov. 21. 

$3.2 million | Eastern Polk County

Abraham Properties LLC, located in Rayville, La., paid the Bernadine Mills Revocable Trust $3.2 million for three properties in eastern Polk County. The acquisitions include 129 acres of farmland west of Southeast 80th Street and north of Southeast Sixth Avenue; 3 acres of farmland at 170 SE 80th St.; and 2.4 acres of farmland at 260 SE 80th St. The transaction occurred July 11.

$3 million | Carlisle

Martin Marietta Materials Real Estate Investments Inc., located in Lexington, Ky., paid Sandridge Farms Co. $3 million for 99 acres south of the Des Moines River in southeast Polk County. The transaction occurred Nov. 15.

$2.4 million | Northeast Polk County

Bresson Real Estate Holdings LLC, located in Ankeny, paid R&W Schonhorst Inc. $2.4 million for farmland in northeast Polk County. The property, located east of Interstate Highway 80 and between Northeast 142nd and Northeast 150th avenues, includes over 142 acres of farmland. The transaction occurred Dec. 18. 

$2 million | Beaver Township

Hope K Farms LLC, located in West Des Moines, paid 4425 NE 108th St LLC just over $2 million for farmland at Northeast 108th Street and Northeast 46th Avenue in Beaver Township. The property includes 118 acres of farmland. The transaction occurred Dec. 22.

$2 million | Des Moines

DMF Properties LLC, located in Johnston, paid Grandview Gardens LLC $2 million for 1.7 acres at 1330 Wayne St. in Des Moines. The transaction occurred June 27.

$2 million | Maxwell

McCorkle LLC paid Gregory Meyers, Lesli Meyers and David Meyers $2 million for 230 acres of cropland in northern Polk County near Maxwell. The property is near 10063 NE 158th Ave. and 15624 NE 96th St. The transaction occurred June 13.
