Des Moines-based senior living facility operator LCS announced it has finalized its merger agreement to acquire Vi, creating a combined senior living organization with 27,000 employees serving more than 45,000 residents in 29 states. The transaction brings together two established operators with more than 90 years of combined industry experience. According to a news release, Vi will continue to operate as a distinct luxury brand within the LCS portfolio, with its management team and communities remaining under the leadership of President and CEO Gary Smith. Smith will report to LCS CEO Chris Bird and join the company’s executive leadership team.
