The Business Record was honored with two national awards by the Alliance of Area Business Publishers on June 27 at the industry trade group’s annual meeting in Charlotte, N.C. The Business Record won first place in the best “Specialty E-newsletter” category for Lift IOWA, which aims to help female business leaders stay informed, connected and empowered in an effort to move the needle in increasing female business ownership, leadership, and involvement in politics and government. The Business Record also received third place in the category for best “Feature Layout” for last year’s Photo Issue, which profiled through photography the hobbies of local business leaders.
