Sign ups are open for the 2026 season of Lutheran Services in Iowa’s Global Greens Community Supported Agriculture program, which begins May 26 and runs through Sept. 22. The program offers sustainably grown produce grown by refugee farmers. Subscribers can select from 18 weekly or nine biweekly shares starting at $37.50 per week, receiving six to 10 varieties of locally and culturally diverse crops. Pick-up sites are available across the Des Moines metro area, with home delivery optional. SNAP participants qualify for 50% off through Iowa’s Double Up Food Bucks program, expanding access to healthy food options. Global Greens produce is grown without synthetic chemicals using methods that promote soil and ecosystem health. Proceeds help fund LSI’s Pantry program, which supports food-insecure refugee households. To learn more, visit lsiowa.org.
