Lutheran Services in Iowa appointed Andrea Maschka as chief development officer, effective Oct. 30. Maschka brings more than 20 years of experience in philanthropy, nonprofit management, sales and strategic communications to the position. In her new role, she will oversee LSI’s statewide fundraising and development strategy, leading a team of philanthropy directors and working to strengthen donor, corporate and foundation partnerships in support of LSI’s programs across Iowa. Before joining LSI, Maschka served as major gifts officer at Hope Ministries and held leadership roles with Mosaic Homes of Iowa and in the pharmaceutical industry. “Andrea’s proven record of cultivating transformational giving, coupled with her passion for community service, makes her an outstanding addition to our leadership team,” Renee Hardman, president and CEO of LSI, said in a prepared statement. “Her strategic vision and collaborative leadership will be key as we deepen engagement and strengthen the impact of our mission across the state.”
