Mediacom launches 5-Gig internet service nationwide

Many Iowa communities including Altoona, Ankeny, Cedar Rapids, Clinton, Des Moines, Pleasant Hill and West Des Moines will be included in the initial rollout, the company said in a news release. The company plans to extend 5-Gig availability, its fastest residential speed tier to date, to over 1 million homes by year end as part of its broader multi-gig deployment strategy.
