Mercy partners with Immanuel for senior care services
Central Iowans in a nine-county area around Des Moines soon will have access to new health care services for seniors in a community setting rather than a nursing home or care facility, Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines announced today. Mercy and Immanuel, an Omaha-based senior health care provider, are offering Immanuel’s Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) here. The coordinated care service will be available in people’s homes or at the new Immanuel Pathways PACE Center, which will open Oct. 1 at 7700 Hickman Road in Windsor Heights. The program will help seniors with significant health care needs live healthier lives and stay independent in their homes as long as possible,” Mercy President Bob Ritz said in a release. Mercy’s parent health system, CHI Health, has a history of partnership with Immanuel in the Omaha-Council Bluffs market.
