Midwest Alarm Services, a leading provider of life safety systems based in Des Moines, announced that it has acquired Electric Specialties Co. in Omaha.  Electric Specialties Co. was founded in 1983 by Herk Campbell and specializes in life safety systems. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed; Campbell and his employees will join the Midwest Alarm Systems’ team. “Electric Specialties is a great business with wonderful people fitting perfectly with our customer-first mindset,” said Doug Richard, president of Midwest Alarm Services. “We are very excited to expand our footprint into Nebraska and look forward to growing with the great team that is already in place.” Established in 1950, Midwest Alarm Services is a family-owned company that operates across four states.
