Women business owners from across Iowa will meet April 29 at Terrace Hill for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Iowa’s annual event. The event, which will run from 4:30-6 p.m., will connect women entrepreneurs with state legislators and civic leaders to discuss the growing economic impact of women-owned businesses in Iowa. “This gathering creates space for women entrepreneurs to build relationships with the leaders shaping Iowa’s policies and economy,” Rachel Formaro, owner of Collabry and NAWBO Iowa advocacy director and president-elect, said in a prepared statement. “Women-owned businesses are a growing force in Iowa, and events like this strengthen the connections that help those businesses succeed.”
