The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting on Jan. 14 to discuss the design and right-of-way details for the proposed I-35/N.E. 36th Street interchange in Ankeny. The proposed interchange would be approximately two miles north of the First Street interchange, and Ankeny officials say it would help alleviate the hazard caused by traffic that regularly backs up at that location.

Site alternatives for the proposed rest area relocation at the I-35/Iowa 210 interchange will also be presented. The public is invited to attend the meeting between 5 and 6:30 p.m. at the Ankeny Fire Station training/conference room, 120 N.W. Ash Drive.
