Altria Group Inc. and Honeywell International Inc. will be replaced by Bank of America Corp. and Chevron Corp. in the 30-member Dow Jones industrial average, Bloomberg reported

The replacements are the first in the 111-year-old U.S. stock benchmark since April 2004, and the first since News Corp. acquired Dow Jones & Co. in December. They will take effect on Feb. 19, according to a statement sent by Prime Newswire.

“The catalyst for these changes is the restructuring in progress at Altria, which will result in a much smaller and more narrowly focused company” said Marcus Brauchli, managing editor of The Wall Street Journal, according to the statement. “As usual when we make any change we review all the stocks.”

American International Group Inc., Verizon Communications Inc. and Pfizer Inc. are the most recent additions to the index.
