Nickell resigns as opera executive director
Karol Nickell has resigned from her position as executive director of the Des Moines Metro Opera.
Opera Artistic Director Michael Egel said that the opera’s executive committee is “reviewing the existing structure and identifying the best options moving forward.”
Nickell took over the position in September 2011.
