Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate has announced nominations are open for the 2026 John Lewis Youth Leadership Award, honoring Iowans aged 25 or younger for outstanding civic engagement, service and leadership. This is the fifth year Iowa has participated in the program. Nominations will be accepted through April 30. Up to two recipients will be honored during a national presentation at the National Association of Secretaries of State winter conference.
