Good news, it’s now in stock. Even better news is that after July 4, prices on those and many other items are going to start falling, writes Rachel Wolfe for the Wall Street Journal. “There are going to be discounts like you’ve never seen before,” Mickey Chadha, a Moody’s Investors Service analyst who tracks the retail industry, told Wolfe. Retailers like Target and Walmart recently announced that they are starting to receive large shipments of outdoor furniture, loungewear and electronics that consumers wanted but couldn’t find during the pandemic. Now consumers are spending their cash on things like travel, concerts and eating out instead of on goods, writes Wolfe. Retailers are trying to lure them to their stores and online shopping sites with the steep discounts.
