Omaha-based Security National Bank opens in West Des Moines
Security National Bank of Iowa recently opened a full-service location in West Des Moines. The new location, at 200 S. Jordan Creek Parkway, replaces Security National Bank’s previous wealth management and loan production office that was located in the Financial Center in downtown Des Moines. “West Des Moines is a great place for us to make a difference,” said Ray Meister (pictured), Iowa market president. Based in Omaha, Security National Bank is one of the Midwest’s largest privately held community banks, with nearly $850 million in assets and 13 full-service banking locations in Nebraska and Iowa, including a Council Bluffs location. Meister, who was hired by Security National Bank in January, has 40 years of financial and banking leadership experience in the Des Moines market. He currently chairs the board of the Waukee Chamber of Commerce and volunteers with Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity, currently serving on its finance committee. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all services at the new location will be conducted by appointment or through a contactless experience using a drive-thru deposit drop service and the ATM until further notice. The bank plans to host a grand opening event in conjunction with the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce in early fall. Event details will be announced.
