What initially sparked your interest in your current field or industry?
As a child, my brother was diagnosed with Diabetes which resulted in several disabilities. I remember my mom having to work to advocate for him to have access to education, medical care and many other things. When I started at Easterseals, I knew that their values aligned perfectly with my own.

What are you most proud of professionally right now?
Easterseals Iowa is celebrating 100 years in 2026. I am so proud that, throughout our history, we have said yes to the needs of our community. We don’t shy away from change, we adapt and innovate to ensure our clients have access to the services they need.

What does a typical day – or a great day – look like in your role?
My favorite days are the ones when I get to hear from a client or family member about the impact our services have had on their lives. Nothing is better than celebrating with a client who just got their first job or watching a child enjoy their first summer camp experience!
