What initially sparked your interest in your current field or industry?
Right after college, I was fortunate to land a job as a commercial underwriter trainee. That became a 35-year journey, and I’ve loved every minute. I’m blessed to be part of an industry that is always evolving – and is, at its core, about helping people.

What are you most proud of professionally right now?
I’m proud to be leading The Mutual Group, a start-up created to serve mutual insurance companies. GuideOne is our founding member – and it’s an honor to work alongside the leaders at this well-regarded local company. In 2025, our teams partnered to help GuideOne achieve double-digit premium growth in its core segments of business.

What are you most excited about in the next 12-18 months?
I’m excited about The Mutual Group’s model. It’s the first to embrace the idea of independence at mutual insurers, while delivering the modernization tools that help them thrive among their larger competitors.

What kind of advice would you offer someone earlier in their leadership journey?
Be a team player! When we all do our small piece and work diligently, it adds up to something amazing.
