One Day for DMU raises more than $222,000

122 wordsAll Latest News, Health and WellnessDes Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences announced it raised $222,612 from 278 donors during its eighth annual One Day for DMU campaign, held April 22–23. The 24-hour fundraising effort featured campus engagement activities including the Deans’ Cup Challenge. Contributions were distributed across multiple initiatives, with the Doughty Family Endowed Scholarship Fund, the DMU Employees Supporting Students Scholarship Fund and the College of Osteopathic Medicine Annual Fund receiving the most support. Alumni participation was led by graduates from the 2010s and 60% of university employees contributed to the campaign. “One Day for DMU is a reminder of what’s possible when our community comes together with a shared purpose,” Stephanie Greiner, vice president for university advancement, said in a prepared statement.
