Jeff Smith, who has guided the Iowa operations for Minneapolis-based Opus Design Build LLC, has been named a vice president for the company. He will continue to be based in Clive. Smith oversees construction activities in office, industrial, institutional, retail and residential. He also manages large, complex projects from project pursuit through design, construction and closeout, according to a release. He has been with Opus since 1995 and has been involved in several large industrial projects in Des Moines, Ankeny and Grimes. He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science with distinction in construction engineering. Smith was among five promotions Opus announced today.
