Outcomes Inc. announced yesterday that it has made an agreement with CVS Caremark Corp. to add 7,300 CVS/Pharmacy locations to its medication therapy management network.

Outcomes, which is based in West Des Moines, provides a network that helps pharmacists monitor, analyze and economize medication therapy, according to the company’s website. Outcomes’ services are used by nearly 50,000 pharmacy providers in the United States.

“Pharmacists are the most effective health care professionals at helping patients take their medications as prescribed and identifying gaps in pharmacy care,” said Josh Flum, senior vice president of retail pharmacy at CVS, in a release.

“Our 7,300 retail pharmacies provide convenient opportunities every day for patients to have face-to-face interactions with pharmacists.”
