The Des Moines Chambers of Commerce will host a panel discussion at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel on the proliferation of hotel development in the city. Panelists are Knapp Properties Inc. CEO Gerry Neugent, Polk County Supervisor Angela Connolly, Des Moines City Councilwoman Christine Hensley, Des Moines Assistant City Manager Matt Anderson, Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel General Manager Mark Herron, and Raj Patel, principal and chief development officer of Hawkeye Hotels. The Des Moines Chambers of Commerce is made up of the Des Moines East & South, Des Moines West Side, and Des Moines Downtown chambers. The event is free and to the public.
