Part of Raccoon River Park reopens

76 wordsAll Latest News, Government Policy and LawRaccoon River Park in West Des Moines reopened at 7 a.m. today after flooding eased, but the dog park and some other facilities still are closed for cleanup. The park will host the July 4 fireworks as planned. Both entrances to the park are open, as are the paved trail, lodge, shelters, playgrounds, restrooms, softball fields and archery area. Still closed: the gravel trail, beach, boat ramp, dog park, fishing pier and soccer fields. Read more
