Partnership names Sid Juwarker vice president of economic development

In the new role, which begins May 17, Juwarker will work to gather economic development leads of companies across the country that are interested in relocating or expanding in Greater Des Moines. Juwarker most recently held the position of vice president and regional leader for Central Iowa with Graham Construction. Juwarker also previously served as a client development manager and national account manager for Terracon for nine years, and spent eight years as a senior project manager for a local environmental consulting firm. Juwarker serves on the executive committee for the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance and as a member of the city of Pleasant Hill’s Comprehensive Plan Committee. “The Greater Des Moines Partnership’s economic development team is recognized locally and nationally as one of the best in the country,” Juwarker said in a prepared statement. “I’ve built my career on recognizing what is needed to move the ball forward for companies and clients through collaborative relationships, strategic planning and practical problem-solving, and I look forward to using those skills to work for this team and serve the community.”
