The Greater Des Moines Partnership announced its next public policy issue forum will address rural development. The forum will take place from noon to 1 p.m. on Aug. 17. It is part of a series of forums that will include a conversation among panelists who will provide insights surrounding the policy implications of that priority issue. The confirmed panelists for the rural development forum include moderator Bill Menner of the Iowa Rural Development Council and Katie Lord of MidAmerican Energy Company. They will discuss programs and policies that support rural development across the Des Moines region.
