Pleasant Hill moves ahead with public safety project

The Pleasant Hill City Council has awarded the design contract for a new public safety facility and renovations to the current facility to FEH Design of Des Moines. Minneapolis-based Ryan Cos. US Inc. will serve as construction managers, according to a release. Phase one is the construction of a $12 million public safety facility that will become the police department headquarters with room for apparatus bays for the fire department. Phase two is the $4 million renovation of the current public safety building. The project will create a command center for the fire department and provide the space needed to operate.
