Plumbers local granted $10,000 for apprenticeships
Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 33 was one of 10 schools and organizations that received state grants for apprenticeship programs. The plumbers local received $10,000 for its Joint Apprenticeship Training Center. Other recipients included the New Bohemian Innovation Collaborative Inc. in Cedar Rapids. Two schools received $15,000 awards for high school programs: Pella Career Academy, and West Delaware Community School in Manchester. The state still has money available.
