Primary Health Care names new chief medical officer

Primary Health Care has named Dr. Megan Srinivas as the organization’s new chief medical officer. Srinivas is a board-certified physician in internal medicine and infectious disease with experience in clinical care, research, health policy and leadership. She has worked in a variety of care settings, including a community health center in Fort Dodge, and brings a commitment to improving access to care for underserved communities, according to a news release. Srinivas also serves in the Iowa House of Representatives, where she has represented Iowa House District 30 since 2022. As chief medical officer, Srinivas will provide clinical leadership across Primary Health Care’s medical programs. She will work with providers and care teams to support quality improvement, patient experience and care coordination. Primary Health Care is a nonprofit community health center that provides medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy and supportive services to patients across Central Iowa.
