Des Moines Register: A receiver will oversee eight Iowa senior care facilities, including one in Urbandale and one in Newton, after they reportedly missed rent payments to their landlord, a judge has ordered. The move comes in a case filed on behalf of the eight business entities representing the owners of the properties, which alleged that the companies operating the facilities failed to pay a combined $133,000 in rent owed for July. The decision, issued Aug. 9 by Judge David Nelmark, affects the Urbandale and Newton Health Care Centers.
