A reception is scheduled for Thursday to celebrate the artwork of architect Bill Anderson. His work is on display at the Iowa Center for Architecture.

Architect Bill Anderson has led the design teams that brought the distinctive EMC Insurance Cos. headquarters to Walnut Street, not to mention the Western Gateway Park. He is semi-retired and his architectural skills mostly reserved for custom residences. He remains busy as an artist, though, and his work is on display at the Iowa Center for Architecture in an exhibit titled “William Anderson Abstracts.” A reception is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the center, located in Capital Square.The Iowa Center for Architecture is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
