It will also change color to indicate blood and air flow – one of the small reminders separating the neonatal robot training baby from a live, high-risk birth. The robotic newborn is a new tool at the St. Luke’s Women’s and Children’s Center and will be used to drill medical staff in high-risk birth scenarios, reports the Cedar Rapids Gazette. The baby joins an existing maternal robot named Victoria that simulates a mother in labor.
