The Des Moines Children’s Museum announced that the Ruan Family Foundation has committed $500,000 to its “From Love to Legacy” capital campaign, supporting the development of a new facility in West Des Moines. Ruan Transportation Management Systems is also partnering with the museum to create an interactive transportation exhibit featuring a semi-truck cab in collaboration with the Des Moines Area Community College Auto Program. The Children’s Museum is raising funds to relocate from Valley West Mall to a new space in West Des Moines and renovate the space to add new exhibits.
