Ruan Transportation Management Systems announced the completion of the acquisition of Jim Aartman, Inc., of Ripon, Calif.

Ruan, a privately-owned transportation services company, has purchased 100 percent of the outstanding stock of Aartman.

“The purchase of Aartman is an investment in what we see as a complementary business to our dedicated contract carriage services and, in particular, our food grade bulk hauling business,” said John Ruan III.

Aartman will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ruan.
