Salisbury House creates gallery in historic garage
The Salisbury House Foundation will begin hosting art exhibitions in its historic garage on the property. The Garage at Salisbury House will feature guest-curated art shows and history exhibits developed around the museum’s permanent collection. Beginning on Friday, Jan. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m., Scott Sjobakken will curate “A Portrait Show” with artists including Brad Ball, Stephanie Brunia and Larassa Kabel. Three art shows and two history exhibits are in development for 2016. The opening for the show will be free and open to the public. After the opening, the gallery will be accessible as part of paid tours at Salisbury House. For more information, contact Amy Saylor at 515-274-1777.
