Iowa’s 2019 SBA Small Business Persons of the Year are Brad and Angie Barber, owners of Cabin Coffee in Clear Lake, the Iowa Small Business Association announced Wednesday. The Barbers established a single retail location for Cabin Coffee in 2002, and after seeking help from the U.S. Small Business Administration for a franchising plan, have grown to reach sales of $5.5 million and 140 employees in 2017. The two will be formally recognized along with other national winners in Washington, D.C., on May 5-6.
