141 wordsArts and Culture, Business Record Insider, The Insider NotebookAmerican culture is all about finding efficiencies. I myself am a big fan of them. But when does it go too far? Well, according to this Atlantic piece, it’s too far when you add in special slanted toilets designed to get “employees back to work in a timely manner.” The design is meant to make it harder to sit on the toilet more than five minutes – oh, and the manufacturer also says the design helps reduce the risk of hemorrhoids. Suit yourself, however, if you think this could increase productivity in your business. But please don’t tell Business Publications Corp. Vice President Jason Swanson – we don’t need him getting any ideas for our office.
