StoryCorps coming to Des Moines
Iowa Public Radio will host StoryCorps’ Mobile Tour in Des Moines this summer, recording interviews with Iowans from an Airstream trailer Aug. 3 to Sept. 1 at a site to be announced in the spring. StoryCorps, America’s oral history project, will collect stories in 10 U.S. cities. Since 2003, the program has recorded 60,000 interviews with over 100,000 participants. Recordings are archived at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.
