United Way of Central Iowa announced that Deanna Strable, chair, president and CEO of Principal Financial Group, will serve as chair of its 2026 fundraising campaign, with Jeff Lorenzen, CEO and president of American Equity, serving as vice chair. Strable will guide efforts to mobilize businesses, community leaders, and donors across Central Iowa in support of initiatives advancing United Way’s priorities of essential needs, education, economic opportunity, and health. Both leaders bring extensive experience in corporate citizenship and community engagement. The organization also recognized Sean Vicente, managing partner at KPMG, for his leadership of the 2025 campaign. The 2026 campaign will formally launch later this year.
