Americans have grown increasingly likely to believe that women and men should have equal roles at work, in politics and at home. But a significant share still say that men’s and women’s roles should be different at home — even when they believe they should be equal at work, the New York Times reports. According to a new report, only 5 percent of millennials and 7 percent of those born from 1946 to 1980 believe men and women should still be unequal at work. However, about a quarter of those people have different views when talking about equality at home. Most of them said that when it comes to taking care of the home and children, women should do more, according to the study, which will be published in the journal Gender and Society.
