Each company participating in the online survey provides data on premiums, co-payments and other benefits provided that will be combined into an individual comparative summary. Data from individual companies will not be published or shared with other participating companies. There is no charge to participate, but a company must complete a survey to receive an individualized report.

It’s the second year the insurance brokerage has offered the online survey tool to Iowa businesses, through a partnership with Milliman Inc., a Seattle-based global consulting and actuarial firm. Last year 103 Iowa-based businesses were among more than 3,200 companies nationwide that participated.

“Many of our clients are multilocation, multistate, so many times when they’re in other parts of the country they want to know that local information,” said Rick DeBartolo, an LMC senior vice president who oversees the company’s employment benefits department. The survey takes approximately 45 minutes to complete for first-time respondents, he said.
