The Best Western hotel and Bennigan’s

restaurant near the Des Moines International Airport has been sold to a Texas-based firm.

REDJ Enterprises Ltd. bought the 144-room hotel for $5.8 million. The sale was completed this month.

According to the Polk County assessor, DM Airport Hotel Associates LC sold the building to REDJ Enterprises. Bill Wolfe, president of Dublin, Ohio-based CWB Property Management Co., which manages the 1810 Army Post Road facility, said it plans on buying new shuttle vans and upgrading the Internet access.

Wolfe added that the restaurant will receive new furniture and equipment for the kitchen.
