On March 30, The Tomorrow Plan speakers series will feature Peter Katz, the executive director of the Congress for New Urbanism, a nonprofit organization that promotes walkable, mixed-use neighborhood development, sustainable communities and healthier living conditions. The presentation will take place at Veterans Memorial Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center, 833 Fifth Ave., at 3 p.m. and will be followed by discussions on local foods, housing, the arts and waste management. Additional speaker series events include a case study in scenario planning on April 5 and a PechaKucha event, where presenters show 20 images, each for 20 seconds, focused on The Tomorrow Plan on April 12.
