Des Moines Register: Some Des Moines viewers currently can’t watch WHO, WOI or KCWI because of contract standoffs between the corporate owners of those stations and satellite TV providers. Dish Network Corp. blacked out local NBC affiliate WHO-TV beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, citing failure to reach a long-term contract agreement with the station’s owner, Nexstar Media Group. Meanwhile, AT&T, provider of DirectTV, AT&T U-Verse and the AT&T TV streaming service, pulled the Tegna Inc.-owned ABC and CW affiliates, sister stations WOI and KCWI, from its lineup on Wednesday afternoon after it failed to reach a similar agreement with that company.
