Moody National Cos., a Houston-based commercial real estate firm, has bought three West Des Moines hotels from Raleigh, N.C.-based Concord Hospitality Enterprises Co.

The SpringHill Suites Des Moines West, 1236 Jordan Creek Parkway, the West Des Moines Marriott, 1250 Jordan Creek Parkway, and the Fairfield Inn and Suites Des Moines West, 7225 Vista Drive, were part of 20-hotel portfolio that changed hands. David Gould, vice president of hospitality and asset management for Moody National, said the three properties all will require some level of renovation.

Gould said some of the changes include new flat-panel televisions at the SpringHill Suites and the Marriott. Gould declined to release the sale price, but the Houston Business Journal reported the portfolio of 20 hotels was sold for an estimated $400 million.

The other hotels are located in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey, Texas and Georgia.

The three hotels in West Des Moines will still be managed by Concord Hospitality.
