Townsend named director of Civic Rights Commission
Beth Townsend has been named director of the Iowa Civil Rights Commission, Gov. Terry Branstad announced yesterday. Townsend, who through her private practice, Townsend Law Office, has represented individuals before the Iowa Civil Rights Commission, as well as federal and state jurisdictions in the area of civil rights and employment law, was previously a partner at Fieldler, Townsend, Newkirk PLC.
