“We’re anxious to get it open,” said Darrell Hughes, the bank’s president. “I think it’s going to be one of the premier banking locations in West Des Moines.”

Hughes said the expected opening date for the branch, April 1, 2008, is in line with the bank’s projections for a second branch location. Two Rivers opened its first Greater Des Moines branch at 4500 Merle Hay Road in Johnston in May 2005. In less than 2 1/2 years, the bank has grown from $10 million in start-up capital to $185 million in assets, and on Sept. 30 had year-to-date net income of $342,000.

Two Rivers plans to keep its existing headquarters office at 4400 Westown Parkway, Suite 304, Hughes said.

The bank will lease approximately 3,300 square feet for the branch, which will also have three drive-up teller lanes. The building was designed by Shiffler Associates Architects, and the general contractor for the project is Accurate Commercial in Clive.
