UNI holding its first Family Business Conference Nov. 11

150 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and Culture, Retail and BusinessCraig Culver of Culver’s restaurants will be the featured keynote speaker at the University of Northern Iowa’s first-ever Family Business Conference on Nov. 11 in Des Moines. “I’ve always believed family is the key to our success. Over 35 years ago, we started Culver’s as a family business and from day one we’ve always put people first by hiring good people and treating them like they are our family,” Culver, co-founder and chairman at Culver’s, said in a release. Minnesota-based family business consultant Tom Hubler will also deliver a keynote speech, and breakout sessions will cover next-generation topics, succession planning and bringing on advisory board members. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Economy Forms Corp. (EFCO) in Des Moines.
